If the upper roller is also quenched, the disassembly and installation of the cone sleeve will be better. This is a combination of cone roller method and clamping roller method. There are several types of gear shifting methods:
(1) Install a stop wheel on the upper roller on the overturning side: The stop wheel is installed in the transition section between the upper roller body and the bearing on the overturning side of the upper roller through axial and radial bearings. A part of the stop wheel is inserted into the overturning frame to restrict the stop wheel from rotating with the upper roller. The blocking wheel is generally in contact with the small head plate edge of the workpiece, mainly relying on the frictional force between the blocking wheel and the workpiece plate edge to achieve the rotational motion of the fan-shaped steel plate around a vertical line passing through a certain point on its own busbar. This method is suitable for workpieces with small plate thickness, large taper, and small head diameter.
(2) Install a stop wheel on the lower roller on the overturned side: The stop wheel is located on the two lower roller bearing seats on the overturned side, and is directly fixed to the upper part of the lower roller bearing seats. The working principle is the same as the first method, and it is suitable for workpieces with larger taper angles and smaller head diameters, with thicker plates than the first method.
(3) Install a stop wheel on the overturned side frame: The stop wheel is bolted onto the overturned side frame of the four roll plate rolling machine, with the upper plane of the stop wheel slightly higher than the lower busbar of the upper roll.
(4) Install stop wheels on the tipping frame: Install stop wheels on both sides of the upper roller on the tipping frame, and set short sliding keys between the tipping frame and the frame.
The above types of blocking wheels are installed on the flipping side because the flipping frame has a small external size and the flipping side frame is low, so the workpiece generally does not interfere with it. The blocking wheel is tightly attached to the work roll surface and can roll workpieces with larger taper and smaller head diameter.
(5) Install a stop wheel on the bed: The stop wheel frame is mounted on the bed with a pin shaft, and the stop wheel is installed on both sides of the roller. The stop wheel frame can rotate around the pin shaft, and the stop wheel can be raised and lowered inside the stop wheel frame.
